I think its better to rewrite it on GTK4 first, also I found https://github.com/aluntzer/gtknodes and its port to C# https://github.com/AliensGroup/Gtk.NodeGraph, but it looks less smooth.

That was the rigth way. gnome.generate_gir doesnt works with vala, I was wrong here.

@grindhold I think that Rust is bad choice for the GUI for the same reasons that the C language is. Borrow Checker requires too much attention, while the GUI needs to pay attention to its business logic. I only know of three GUI GTK applications written on Rust, and 2 of them are the selection of contrasting colors and icons. If you open Gnome repository in github where there is a function of sorting by languages, you can see that Gnome has 225 C, 44 Vala (the last time I checked was 40) 32 Python (wow, Vala > Python usage), 18 C++, ..... and 2 on Rust. I consider the use of Rust justified only where low-level work is required, such as libraries.
