The new orange seems a little bit too dark, or too "strong". Here there are some gradients that might look better.

Do you have any suggestions? I have terrible screens for colour space. They all seem to have a terrible time with oranges and pinks/magentas.

I looked a the link. That impresses me, how much the style can create an animation without javascript.

084 Phoenix Start looks nice.

There are many that I like on that website. 048 is definitely one. The main point for me though, is that black text on dark orange is a bit difficult to read. As long as there is high contrast (dark text and light background, or vice versa) it's OK for me.
