Sylpheed-Claws is the extended version of Sylpheed, a GTK+ based,
user-friendly, lightweight, and fast email client.

Notes for this release:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

* This is a bug-fix release and all users are advised to upgrade.

* This release is the first release in the newly created Stable
  branch. Primarily, each release will contain bug fixes rather
  than new features. New features will appear in the Development
  branch releases, and will make their way into this Stable branch
  when they have been well-tested. 

  This Stable branch is mainly aimed at distro packagers and the more 
  cautious self-compiler. Users who wish to remain closer to the
  cutting edge should choose the release with the highest version
  number. Normally this will be the Development branch, currently it 
  is this release.

New in this release:

* The Preferences config file, ~/.sylpheed-claws/sylpheedrc, is now
  stored with UTF-8 encoding

* updated Brazilian Portuguese, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Greek, 
  and Spanish translations.

* Bugfixes: 

	o bug 933, 'Crash re-entering the custom headers list dialog
	  	    in accounts prefs'
	o bug 859, 'problems with cyrilic input in search panel'
	o bug 919, 'libetpan: SEGV when connecting using command'
	o fix sticky Stop button when searching in an empty folder
	o fix crash in address book on empty columns
	o fix freeing of gettext() return values in prefs
	o don't display error when cancelling connection
	o fix inserting files not in utf8 when locale is utf8
	o enforce a check for domain in account prefs
	o dillo viewer plugin: avoid future potential for namespace 
	  collision
	o SpamAssassin plugin: fix missing text on Unix Socket option
