A 64 bit version of libzstd will cause a, 64 bit version of mesa, build failure -- on x86_64 with a 32 bit version of libzstd present. The issue is with the file:
usr/lib64/pkgconfig/libzstd.pc
The solution is to fix the line: libdir=${exec_prefix}/lib to libdir=${exec_prefix}/lib64
