  2. Editor introduction
  3. ===================
  4. In this section, we cover the Godot editor in general, from its interface to
  5. using it with the command line.
  6. Editor's interface
  7. ------------------
  8. The following pages explain how to use the various windows, workspaces, and
  9. docks that make up the Godot editor. We cover some specific editors' interface
  10. in other sections where appropriate. For example, the :ref:`animation editor
  11. <doc_introduction_animation>`.

  20. Android editor
  21. --------------
  22. Godot offers a native port of the editor running entirely on Android devices.
  23. The Android port can be downloaded from the `Android Downloads page <https://godotengine.org/download/android/>`__.
  24. While we strive for feature parity with the Desktop version of the editor,
  25. the Android port has a certain amount of caveats you should be aware of.

  30. Web editor
  31. ----------
  32. Godot offers an HTML5 version of the editor running entirely in your browser. No
  33. download is required to use it, but it has a certain amount of caveats you
  34. should be aware of.

  39. Advanced features
  40. -----------------
  41. The articles below focus on advanced features useful for experienced developers,
  42. such as calling Godot from the command line and using an external text editor
  43. like Visual Studio Code or Emacs.

  49. Managing editor features
  50. ------------------------
  51. Godot allows you to remove features from the editor. This may be useful if you're
  52. an educator trying to ease students into the editor slowly, or if you're working on
  53. a project that's only 2D or only 3D and don't want to see what you don't need.
