-

- Upon reaching Springfield, the first place that we stopped was a second-hand store.
- I found a resealed box there that supposedly contained a five-terabyte external hard drive and it was marked as only costing $4 USD! We managed to get the resealing sticker off to make sure that the contents matched the box, and it was a good thing that we did.
- The previous owner had pried the case apart the casing and kept the hard drive itself.
- Having just a case is far less useful, though in retrospect, I think that I would have gotten it anyway if it had not been for the deceitful way in which it had been sealed back into its original packaging so that it looked like such an amazing offer.
- Reusing the box is fine, but if the main component is missing, the box should be left openable so that customers can see what they are buying.
- I also picked up an old computer for fifty dollars.
- I cannot be sure that it will meet my needs yet, but I can hope.
- The computer came with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse, none of which I actually need, but the power cord for both the monitor and the computer itself seem to be damaged.
- I have spares here at home though.
- The computer does seem to power on, though it has no wireless card.
- I have one freedom-friendly wireless card here at home, though I do not know if it is compatible yet.
- When I install Debian to it, I am not sure whether to allow the machine to keep its current host name that it has from its unusable default operating system or rename it "insulo de aspiri", which is Esperanto for "island of hope".
- I might fiddle with the thing tomorrow.
- I would love to have the server duties removed from my laptop so I can actually turn the thing off.
-

-

- After leaving the second hand store, we met up with a former friend of my mother.
- Their relationship is strange and I do not understand it.
- In any case, socializing took quite some time, so by the time we were done, we did not have time to work on cleaning and straitening our former residence.
- Instead, we focused on packing things up to take home with us.
-

-

- Professor Shyguy has failed for a second time to meet his self-set deadline for releasing Fragmentation.
- From what he has uploaded though, he seems to be close.
- The songs have all been recorded, they just have not been "mastered", whatever that means.
- I could look it up if I really cared, but I am very tired.
- Today has been a tiring day.
-

-

- My canary still sings the tune of freedom and transparency.
